A Pair of Balls was an adult novelty. The idea came from the last scene of the movie Caine Mutiny where Captain Queeg undergoes a nervous breakdown and is seen rolling two metal balls in his hand. The fun is helped along in the enclosed book with endorsements from my friends, using their real names. There were such quotes as “I love my Balls,” “Playing with my Balls makes me feel good,” and so on. The balls were made of fine wood and attached to a rawhide cord. The product was designed to be used like “worry beads.”
