My sport toys were more novel than conventional.
Two product lines were created specifically for young children. Crunch Balls were unique in that they were feather-light. They were stuffed with Styrofoam chips that made them easy to smack and catch. One could play with them indoors and not be concerned about breaking things. Wilson Stuffs were balls stuffed with poly-filament. These soft balls could not bounce far away from the child, therefore making them less frustrating to play with. Because they were so soft and pliable, they were also easy to catch.
